About Us . . .
When we first met - many years ago - the thought of our ever writing music together would have been absurd. As a third grader, Nancy was cast in a school production of "The Sound of Music" which Don was directing at Hornell (NY) High School. Throughout her school years, Nancy continued to sing in various ensembles and plays under Don's direction, but it wasn't until she was a senior music education major at Ithaca College that she asked if he might be willing to compose a melody for a lyric she had written. That first piece - "All That I Can Be" - was successfully published and became the start of a collaboration that now includes over four hundred compositions for school and church choirs.
Drawing upon our teaching backgrounds and experience with volunteer church choirs, we have enjoyed sharing our music and ideas about music ministry in workshops with choir directors and singers throughout the U.S. and Canada. We were even privileged to travel to Seoul, Korea to present a workshop for church choir directors.
We are members of Perinton Presbyterian Church in Fairport, NY where Don directs the adult choir and Nancy sings in the soprano section. If you are ever in our area on a Sunday morning, we invite you to stop by and worship with us.
